Monthly Favorites: February 2020
Another month has passed and I’m back with another Monthly Favorites post. February was a pretty eventful month for me – I celebrated my 24th birthday (I was born on a Leap Year, so I was so excited to get an actual birthday this year and turn 6 for anyone who’s counting), another one of my friends got married, and there were so many new releases this month so I was set with new things to watch or listen to. Here are all of my favorite things from February in food, entertainment and décor:
Food
Buffalo Chicken Nacho Fries Burrito
I love anything that has to do with buffalo chicken, so the minute I found out about Taco Bell’s new Nacho Fries, I knew I had to try them. I ended up liking the Buffalo Chicken Nacho Fries Burrito more than the new Nacho Fries. If you like buffalo sauce, I highly recommend you try the new burrito!
Decor
Cactus Book Ends
For my birthday, my grandparents came up to visit, and we shopped around a bit. We found these cute cactus book ends that match the black and white decor theme that I’m going for, and I thought they were the cutest things. My grandparents got them for me as a birthday gift. We kept joking about how we found them in a section of Hobby Lobby that looked like it was supposed to be a toddler boy’s room.
Entertainment
All The Bright Places
I was so excited for this movie when I saw that it was coming to Netflix because I read the book a couple years ago and I loved it! I still liked the book better than the movie, but it was still a cute movie. I just wish they didn’t change a few scenes from the book around, but overall they stayed pretty true to the book. Be prepared to have a roller coaster of emotions if you watch this movie.
Love is Blind
This is another Netflix Original that I have been enjoying. I think it’s interesting to see people who have never seen each other fall in love, and see how they end up once they see each other for the first time. I’m only a few episodes in, but I’m interested to see how many people end up staying together by the end of it.
Pokémon Cards
I have been obsessing over anything Pokémon related here lately. I had a very small Pokémon card collection when I was younger, and I just recently bought some packs for the first time in years. Now I have my boyfriend and I hooked on collecting them, and we’re also enjoying the online Pokémon Trading Card Game. I want to eventually get good enough to play the physical card game. Shout out to my brother and boyfriend for the packs to help me build my deck.
New All Time Low Music Video & Song
There have been so many good music releases lately, but my favorite has been All Time Low’s new song Sleeping In. They released a new music video to go along with it that has them interacting with cute pets and also promotes pet adoption. It’s probably my favorite music video to date! They also announced that they will be headlining Sad Summer Fest, so I can’t wait to hear them play the new songs live! I’ve added the new song and some other songs I’ve been loving to my 2020 playlist that I update every month.
What things have you been loving lately?
Until next time,
