Monthly Favorites: October 2020
I seriously don’t know where the year has gone and I’m still in disbelief that Halloween is already over. October always seems to be an eventful month for me, and I have lots of things I’m excited to share with you this month. Here are my favorites in food, fashion and entertainment.

Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Pasta
I’ve been obsessed with all things buffalo chicken recently. I found this Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Pasta recipe on Pinterest and I had to give it a try. Since I am able to make it in the Instant Pot, it is super easy to make and also delicious!

Fashion
Sherpa Boots from Target
I’ve been loving the sherpa boot trend this year. I found these Tessie Sherpa Lace Up Hiking Boots on Target’s website. I got the Taupe color because I didn’t have any lace up boots in this color and I think they are super cute. They also come in Black and Cognac if you want to snag yourself a pair!
Here are some other boots I’ve been eyeing recently:
Entertainment
Love AND Monsters
When I saw that Dylan O’Brien was going to be in a new movie, I knew I had to check it out. He has been one of my favorite actors since his Teen Wolf days. The premise of the movie is that his character, Joel, gets separated from his girlfriend when the world is taken over by “monsters” and seven years later, he decides to leave his colony to try to find her.
The list of new movies I’ve watched in 2020 is small, but this is the best one I’ve seen so far. Seeing someone go through a monster apocalypse makes the current situation of 2020 almost seem not as bad. Almost.
Get Organized with The Home Edit
Seeing how much I enjoyed watching Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, I had a feeling I would enjoy watching this organization show on Netflix. I blew through the whole season in a few days because I was hooked watching Clea and Joanna makeover different people’s spaces. I liked how each episode they featured both a celebrity and a regular family. Getting to see Reese Witherspoon’s closet was a dream.
Emily in Paris
I’ve heard a lot of controversy about this new Netflix show. It starts off with the main character, Emily, having to leave Chicago and move to France for work. She makes the move not knowing the French language and has to navigate her journey alone. The controversy comes in when Emily starts posting selfies of her new day-to-day life on Instagram and she basically becomes an influencer overnight. I will agree that the show is pretty unrealistic (coming from someone who works in social media), but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with indulging in a show and living vicariously through Emily’s new Paris life (especially with all the travel restrictions due to the pandemic).
The show is very light and I enjoyed using it as an escape from everything going on in the world right now. I also just found out it got renewed for a second season, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
That sums up another month of my monthly favorites. Do you plan on checking any of these things out? I’d love to know in the comments!
Until next time,
