An Introduction: Why am I here?

Introduction: Why I’m Here

I’ve been tossing around the idea of blogging for quite some time now. After countless debates with myself over how I wanted my website to look, and hours of research learning how to put it all together, it’s finally done and I’m finally here.

I’ve made multiple blogs for school assignments in the past, but none of them stuck around. When it comes to blogging, I don’t like being assigned prompts. I like the freedom of being able to write what I want, when I want to.

I wanted a space to share my journey as I graduate college next spring and move into the real world. I’m nervous, afraid and excited all at once and I wanted to share those feelings with the world.

That’s why I’m here.

To share the adventures I take with my friends as I travel to see my favorite bands. To share the lessons I learn as I move out on my own and get a “grown-up job.” To share my passions of photography and storytelling with the world.

I’m constantly being asked, “what do you want to do after graduation?” and to answer that question, I have absolutely no idea. I try to avoid the question if at all possible, because many people my age already have their life planned out, or they’re going to grad school and have a little longer than me to decide.

As for me, there are two things I can see myself doing after I graduate no matter what, and that’s taking photos and blogging.

Yes, I’m completely terrified of what the future brings. But, creating a website has been on my bucket list for the longest time and it feels like a step in the right direction. I now have a place to keep my portfolio, and hopefully gain some awesome opportunities from it.

And I’m so excited to share them with you.

—Until next time,
